Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Everything happens in your browser: your documents never leave your device and nobody else can see them.
Can I change the PDF's original text?
PDFs weren't designed to be edited like a Word file. The most reliable way is to cover the text with white-out and type the new text on top, which is what most editors do.
Which font is used?
Helvetica, the standard PDF font, which looks the same on every device.
